Production Planner

Eastern Carolina Vocational Center Inc. has an opening for a Production Planner in the Materials Management/Inventory Department. This position is primarily responsible for the coordination of workflow and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.

The ideal candidate will be able to:
 Create production schedule and prioritize job-orders balancing mission and business needs
 Maintain production schedules, progress reports, records, inventory detail, material usage, and other reports as required by leadership with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
 Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Programs on staffing needs
 Utilize data analysis and decision making tools to support raw material supply and finished goods demand
 Interact with production managers on a daily basis to assess progress and to resolve issues requiring changes in schedule utilizing strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
 Maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external customers
 Take an active role in achieving departmental and organizational safety, quality, and production goals
 Act as an advocate for continuous improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality, and productivity
 Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to present current and historical data in a concise manner

Education and Experience:
 Bachelor of Science in Business, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or related required
 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment required
 1 year of ERP system experience preferred

Mechanical Assemblers

Mega Force Staffing is recruiting for Mechanical Assemblers for a large manufacturer in Greenville, NC. Individuals will assemble parts from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and written instructions. Must be able to work with various types of hand and power tools, and must have mechanical assembly experience or automotive related experience. This is a temporary to permanent hire opportunity.
Job Type: Full-time; Temp to Hire opportunity
Salary: $10.00/hour to start, with an opportunity to make $11/hour
Shift hours:
·       1st: 5am - 3:30pm, M-TH (some OT may be required)
·       2nd: 3:30pm - 2am. M-TH (some OT may be required)
Required education:
  • High school or GED
Required license or certification:
  • Career Readiness Certification (CRC); Scores required are a 4 in Locating information, 4 in Reading & 3 in Math

PT C&D Sorter

Eastern Carolina Vocational Center Inc. has an opening for (1) Part Time C&D Sorter  at the Pitt County Landfill. This position is primarily responsible for sorting building materials, recyclable  materials, and trash for the recycling stream as they pass on a conveyor. The openings are for a morning shift (7:30am-11:30am) and an afternoon shift of (12:30pm-5:00pm). The ideal person needs  to be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:

·       Willing to work at various stations as directed by the supervisor
·       Differentiate between acceptable and unacceptable materials
·       Sort and place recyclable products in designated bin according to product type to ensure correct processing and usage
·       Able to lift up to 35 lbs. and walk or stand most of the time
·       Ability to reach, handle, finger
·       Repetitive use of hands/arms
·       Able to work in a dusty environment with exposure to extreme weather conditions (hot in the summer; cold in the winter)
