Someone with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly (verbal & written). This person is responsible for interacting with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services, handle and resolve complaints on the telephone or electronically, in an efficient, courteous, and friendly manner, process “manual” orders, maintain customer satisfaction and help market existing/new ECVC products. Inputs customer data into the service database information system. Must have good working knowledge of computers including Word, Excel, and databases (ACT database preferred). Ideal candidate will possess good problem solving and multi-tasking skills while being detail oriented. Must be a quick learner and be able to deal with frequent interruptions. Good organizational and decision making skills needed. With advanced notice, ability to attend trade shows (6-10 shows/year) featuring ECVC products. Former military background or familiarity with bases helpful. Associates Degree in Office Manager, Business Administration is preferred. Minimum required is 2 years equivalent experience in utilizing his/her skills & abilities to answer customer questions and promote customer satisfaction.CRC certification required. ·         Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.

·         Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems, operate efficiently including HVAC.

·         Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.

·          Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.

·          Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary

·          Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

·         Use and maintain welding equipment to perform required welding activities and repairs.

Work Hours: 8am-4:30pm (Summer Hours: 7am-3:30pm) - with possible OT as needed.

Individual must have a clean background check and pass drug screen.  Prefer candidate to have an Associates’ Degree or Certification in Mechanical or Electrical fields. HVAC experience a plus. CRC preferred.

Pay range: $35-$50K per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Pitt Community College (PCC) is excited to announce, we have partnered with ECU and DSM Dyneema to sponsor a training program to help veterans re-entry the workplace. The program is called – Tools for Advanced Manufacturing for Veterans. The training is only for veterans and is offered at no cost to them. The program will feature the following training modules: OSHA 30, Lean Six Sigma - White Belt, and ECU Innovations Training. In addition, a workshop assisted by representatives from five leading manufacturers will be conducted to help sharpen interview skills, and participants will learn more about area manufacturing companies. This program is only available to veterans. Individuals must have a CRC, and additional WorkKeys assessments may be required. Training will occur at several locations during the two weeks, i.e., PCC, DSM Dyneema, ECU, etc. The training dates are: July 29, 30, 31, Aug. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
