Within the Advanced Manufacturing sector the need for technicians
is in high demand. However, many companies require individuals to
demonstrate that they can thrive in this environment by scoring a 3 or
higher on the WorkKeys’ Applied Technology Assessment.
To help
individuals achieve this task, PCC is offering a FREE 16-hour - Applied
Technology (ATech) Class for those interested in skilling up in this
critical area. This is an instructor-led class which focuses on the
following key areas: Electricity, Mechanics, Thermodynamics and
Fluid-Dynamics. Those successfully completing the class will be given
the ATech assessment at No Cost. Class will be delivered over two
Saturdays, Oct-24 and Nov-7, training schedule for both days is 8:00 am
to 4:30 pm (with a 30-min lunch break); the ATech Class will be held in
Room 301 at the PCC Greenville Center (3107 S. Memorial Dr.)
To qualify, individuals:
1) Must have a CRC with a score of 4 in Locating Information (LI).
2) Must not have previously attended an ATech Class
