Shipping/Receiving Clerk in Production

SHIPPING and RECEIVING CLERK in Production

ECVC has an opening for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Production.  The right person needs to be able to work Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.  Hours may need to be flexible to get the job done.   This person needs to have a high school diploma or GED.  Some previous experience in shipping and work in a production environment setting is preferred.  Applicants must have basic computer skills or be computer trainable.  Having worked with computers with UPS programs and linkage would be very helpful.  Need to have accurate computer skills and be attentive to details. 

Primary Tasks – Including but not limited to:
1.     Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and arranges for carrier to pick up orders. 
2.     Utilizes computer linked to UPS for weighing and shipping. 
3.     Pulls daily records of orders to be shipped.
4.     Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
5.     May operate tier lift truck, electric pallet jack, and use handtruck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or working area.
6.     Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons.
7.     Adheres to all policies and procedures related to the Company’s quality programs.
8.     Performs other duties as deemed necessary by his/her supervisor.
9.     Be able to use a TCMIS scanner.
10.  Be able to work with lifting and/or moving objects up to 20-50 lbs. and walk or stand most of the time.

ECVC is looking for a Customer Care Specialist.  Someone with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly (verbal & written). This person is responsible for interacting with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services, handle and resolve complaints on the telephone or electronically, in an efficient, courteous, and friendly manner, process “manual” orders, and help maintain customer satisfaction.
Inputs customer data into the service database information system. Must have good working knowledge of computers including Word, Excel, and databases (ACT database preferred).
Ideal candidate will possess good problem solving and multi-tasking skills while being detail oriented. Must be a quick learner and able to deal with frequent interruptions. Good organizational and decision making skills needed. 
Former military background or familiarity with bases helpful. 
Associates Degree in Office Management, Business Administration is preferred.  Minimum required is 2 years equivalent experience in utilizing his/her skills & abilities to answer customer questions and promote customer satisfaction. CRC certification required (must provide scores).

This individual will be responsible for inspecting and testing our product for conformance to specifications. The ideal candidate is hard-working, motivated, energetic, hands-on, and effective in a team environment. See job description below:

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  • Inspects and tests insulated wire and cable for conformance to specifications, using testing instruments, inspection manuals, and blueprints.
  • Measures diameter, wall thickness, concentricity of insulation, and thickness of wire or cable, using microscope, pin gauges, and micrometer.
  • Attaches weights to cable to test adhesion of insulation to cable.
  • Connects sample to electrical outlet and tests effectiveness of insulation under varying voltages, using such instruments as ohmmeter, wheatstone bridge, and galvanometer.
  • Tests wearability of insulation, using twisting device.
  • Tests breaking strength of wire and cable, using tensile testing machine.
  • Examines and feels surface of braided metal shield surrounding insulation to detect imperfections, and cuts off or interlaces protruding metal strands of shield.
  • Cuts insulation with knife and compares composition of insulation with specifications.
  • Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
  • Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommend necessary corrective actions.
  • Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required; Associates/Bachelors Degree in Related Field preferred
  • 3-5 years relevant experience; QC experience in a manufacturing environment, cable/wire preferred
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel is required
  • Self-starter; motivated and energetic individual that is accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving / troubleshooting ability
  • Sound organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including management, HR, and manufacturing
  • Ability to stand and move about for the duration of shift.
  • Lifting requirement up to 75lbs max.

Receptionist

·         Greeting all customers and visitors.
·          Making sure lunches are ordered, and/or drinks and refreshments are ready for guest during visitations (may have to pick up from restaurant if no delivery is available).

ASMO Pre-Hire Program

PCC is delivering another - ASMO Pre-hire Program.
To be eligible individuals must meet the following conditions:
·        Must have a CRC with a minimum score of 4 in Locate and Read
·        Must be willing to commit to 32 hours of training
·        Have not previously applied to ASMO and was turned down
·        Have not previously attended an ASMO Pre-hire Program
·        Have not worked or is currently working at ASMO through a temporary agency
The ASMO Pre-hire Training Program is 32-hours of free training consisting of the following training modules: OSHA 10, Interviewing Skills and Applied Technology (ATech). The ATech training module is specifically designed to help individuals prepare for the ATech assessment; this is a WorkKeys assessment which ASMO requires for their Manufacturing Technician position. The ATech assessment will be given at the conclusion of the program at no cost to the student. All individuals successfully completing this Pre-hire Program will receive an interview from ASMO.

Processing Operator

POSITION OVERVIEW
The processing operator will perform a variety of tasks in our high-volume processing facility for 2nd or 3rd shift. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

·         Material handling of waste materials using proper PPE and tools
·         Material handling of pallets, drums, pans, racks, etc. using a fork lift
·         Unload and load roller conveyors
·         Weigh materials using an industrial scale and label printers
·         Perform math calculations using a calculator
·         Proficient in completing necessary production paperwork
·         Keep various customers material organized and separated from other 
       customers products
·         Perform all necessary cleaning requirements such as sweeping, 
       mopping, etc.
·         Maintain all required tools, organized and in their assigned places
·         Capable of operating computer screens and understanding basic 
       operations and measurements such as temperature, pressure, flow, 
       motors or blowers
·         Must be able to perform and comprehend basic or minor maintenance
       functions such as greasing bearings and changing both liquid and 
       air filters
·         Capable of learning how to read and understand pressure and 
      flow gauges
·         Must be capable of reading and understanding production schedules
·         Must learn how to make adjustments on a computer screen to increase 
       and decrease temperature

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
·         Minimum of a high school diploma
·         3-5 years Industrial working environment
·         Proficient with using a fork truck
·         100% fluent in the use of the English language including reading 
       and writing
·         No physical restrictions; required to lift, operate a forklift and 
       climb ladders
·         Mechanical capability would be an asset. Set-up type person would 
       be a good candidate
·         Heat treating, furnace, plumbing experience would be a plus
·         Basic math skills is required

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those 
an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  
This position requires the employee to work in a secured environment. The work 
environment involves exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and heavy machinery. The 
noise levels in some areas are high and requires hearing and eye protection.
